FdL couple trains puppies to be highly-skilled companions

With their last child off to college, Judy Resop knew her husband, John Resop, would need a hobby to take his mind off the silence permeating their home. A friend of the Fond du Lac couple, Dr. Marthina Greer, a Lomira veterinarian suggested that John consider becoming a puppy trainer for Canine Companions for Independence (CCI), a non-profit provider of trained assistance dogs for children, adults and veterans with physical disabilities.
